sew dangerous

B having finished her run through the proofs has been sewing. Braver men than me have been known to go into hiding when this happens. B likes sewing nearly as much as she does cooking. Only I have even less skill here. So much bad language has been forthcoming. Still we have a dive flag and a new dog-cushion cover, and various other tasks have been done. I'll stop tip-toeing around the house real soon too :-)

I've done another 2.1K of book and some more proof reading - only discover it's due tomorrow night. So now to proofs...

  1. Barb, you have my deepest commiserations. One of my main joys in life is that I can now buy things cheaper than I can make them, and there is now no sewing machine in my house...

  2. I WISH. Dave decided we would save $24 if I made a flag, instead of buying one, so he will be safe diving for abalone near a boat ramp. Then when I had made it to what I believed were the required measurements, (ok, finished it was 2cm short) he says "it is too big!"

Still, it is done, and I have finished half my sewing tasks that have been accumulating for the last few months. So I feel really good about it.

  3. I used to work a sewing machine for a living, and now hate sewing to the nth degree. So kudos for doing it even though you hate it so :)

  4. If I would not break the cotton so often I would be happier, and the air less blue! But Dave was supposed to be working, not listening to what I was saying.

  5. At least you always know he listens to you ;)

  6. It looks like sewing is in my near future, too. Jody is singing in The Messiah this year and needs a shepherd costume.

  7. I suppose a striped towel, a belt and a bit of white sheet on his head won't do?? Well done on the singing, that is awesome. I will send good thoughts for the sewing. I still have one pair of cords in my sewing pile, but I decided we needed the dining table back.
