We ate our first Salsify tonight. An interesting veg - not like anything else really. It's also called Oysterplant, but I didn't taste that. Slightly lemony, slightly peppery. Just different. Different in the 'you can do that again dear' sense.
Anyway 4.1K on the book so far today, and I want to try for a tiny bit more.
I just wanted to share. My Dad and I built two 'Chookabagos' for our new flock this past weekend. Of course,they are stuck in the greenhouse for the next little while as we have 3 1/2 feet of snow on the ground. We were talking about you while we were building. Dad's done similar things to what you and Barbs are doing, so he's very interested in your saga.
