more Proofs

Hokay so more proofs and 2K more book and I planted out the Scorzonera and the Salsify. Made a supper of some crayfish (spiny lobster) in a cream sauce and spring onions and sugar snap peas and some thyme. Would have worked better with tarragon. Still, very nice on jasmine rice, with a mango-carrot salad. We had brakpan slice for dessert a name which does not do adequate credit this passionfruit creation.

And now to work...

  2. If you ever open a Bed and Breakfast they'll be knocking down your door for food like that!

  3. Ditto to what Quilly Mammoth said. Made my mouth water just reading about it :)

  4. Don't suppose you could share the recipe? I'm always interested in tasting the results of recipes with passionfruit as an ingredient.

  5. For BREAKFAST :-) Quilly? I still fancy taking them out and making them catch it themselves and cook on a fire on the beach.

  6. Sue - it'd kill you :-( too much wheat and dairy. It's a typical slice type recipe of all the sort of ingredients I don't usually use (because I don't make them myself.) I had leftover ingedients from the fair.

  7. Dave, the _new_ B&B model is to serve a very nice dinner and do Continental breakfast in the morning.

You almost have to if you put in a commercial kitchen.

And making them catch it themselves means you could charge even more!

  8. RE B&B where you can catch your own and cook on a fire on a beach and other such activities you've been sharing about the island on this blog. Sounds like such a cool idea for a B&B but I bet the liability insurance would be a killer!
I've stayed at places where they only offer (optional purchase) breakfast or dinner hamper (usually local ingredients) and you cook yourself. One off the beaten track place even had their own solar 'power station' building to provide all the power.
